The challenge

An Australian group running an auction house, a coin and banknote dealer and a collector magazine took on Technical Content Links to manage Google Ads across all three brands in mid-2025. Each brand had its own account, its own audience and its own idea of what a conversion was.

The accounts had been built by a previous agency, with campaigns limited by budget and a mix of goals. The auction house needs consignors and bidders. The coin dealer sells grading and other services. The magazine sells subscriptions. One approach would not suit all three.

02 · Our approach

Our approach

  1. 01

    One plan, three accounts

We set up a single budget and pacing sheet for the group, with a clear budget for each brand, so the client can see where every dollar goes.

  2. 02

State-based campaigns for the auction house

New search campaigns for NSW, QLD and VIC sit alongside the existing brand, remarketing and category campaigns for coins, jewellery, watches, antiques and estates.

  3. 03

Service ads for the coin dealer

New responsive search ads were written for individual services, such as coin grading and coin rolling, each sent to its own service page.

  4. 04

    Subscriptions for the magazine

Brand and magazine campaigns, gift subscription ads and Performance Max ad copy, all measured on subscriptions and cost per acquisition.

03 · The results

The results

  • Auction house: 2,239 clicks at an average of $0.59, and 103 conversions, including 18 phone call leads, from $1,320.
  • Coin and banknote dealer: 43 conversions at $21 each, with a 10.8% conversion rate, from $917.
  • Collector magazine: 10 new subscriptions at $23.79 each, a 7.25% conversion rate, from $238.
All figures come from the Google Ads accounts for August 2025. Conversions are as tracked in each account and include contact actions as well as leads.
